In search of a sunrise that doesn’t materialise as hoped, sun, clouds and rain set the scene for two black and white panoramas.

The Malvern Hills from Midsummer Hill

A hike up Midsummer Hill from Hollybush during golden hour gives Jim an opportunity to capture a long lens panorama of the classic Malvern Hills ridgeline including British Camp / Herefordshire Beacon from Midsummer Hill during sunset.

Join Jim hiking through the woodland at the base of Midsummer Hill, finding a spot to setup the camera and capturing a multi row, long lens panorama looking north from Midsummer Hill.

High Speed Sync (HSS) Flash Portrait Photography on the Malvern Hills

Black Hill and a setting sun shrouded by cloud set the scene for an awesome high speed sync (HSS) flash portrait of Lily Taylor on the Malvern Hills.

Charlie Bristow joins Jim and Lily to capture the video of this portrait shoot leaving Jim to concentrate on the photography. Expect to see some buttery B roll.

British Camp in the Blue Hour – Malvern Hills Nightscape Photography

A fading sun, hazy horizon, a pending blue hour and eventually a starry night time sky provide the nightscape to capture a blue hour photograph of the sky above British Camp / Herefordshire Beacon from Black Hill on the Malvern Hills. Plus a bonus capture of the stars as the blue hour gives way to the night time sky.
