Wedding Photography
I love photographing weddings, not only is it a privilege to capture the events of a couple’s special moments, but also allows me to practice my love of photography all day.
My approach to wedding photography is professional but also relaxed. I like to strike the delicate balance between getting the stand-out photographs necessary for the album and trying to be invisible so that the couple can enjoy their special day with their guests.
Although, it is inevitable that at certain points during the wedding day the photographer(s) almost become members of the wedding party to capture the more formal group photographs and bespoke wedding couple portraits. I like to approach these parts of the wedding day with as much fun, professionalism and speed to give everyone a premium photography experience.
As with any successful wedding day, preparation is key, and the photography is no exception. Therefore, if possible, I like to try and meet with the couple either in person or via a video call to discuss their wedding day photography requirements. I also like to try and go to the wedding venue(s) before the day to either scout out or remind myself of the venue for the best photography locations (this can change during the different seasons of the year). It is also really worthwhile booking in an engagement photography session, not only to have some lovely engagement photographs, but also to get the couple used to being in front of the lens. I find this really helps couples get the most out of their photography experience on the wedding day.
